The Senior Data Warehouse Modeller role supports the business by deciding what data should be ingested from source systems into the Enterprise Data Warehouse, and how this data should be transformed to make it suitable for consumption in reporting or other downstream systems.
The role is accountable for analysing and documenting source systems’ data as needed to meet the business requirements; determining the method and frequency for ingesting the data into the data warehouse; defining and documenting any data mapping, harmonisation, derivations, calculations, or other transformations required to make the data easy to use by the business; ensuring that the target data model is coherent and works in conjunction with the other data models in the data warehouse.
