Job summary

ETFbook is building a Databricks-based data platform and seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to own standards, governance, and tooling. You will shape CI/CD, access control, and cost governance while collaborating with data engineering leadership and teams.

You will influence platform design, data quality, and disaster recovery, delivering end-to-end projects with a strong emphasis on governance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering or data platform work with leadership experience.
• Deep Databricks and Unity Catalog governance capabilities.
• Strong CI/CD and Terraform experience.
• English proficiency at B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Owns the delivery standards: templates, libraries, CI/CD, promotion path.
• Owns what CI enforces: naming conventions, tests, release gates.
• Owns the platform’s Terraform and self-service design.
• Owns the Unity Catalog governance: classification, lineage, sharing.
• Owns the access model and auditing: personas, privileges, entitlement reviews.
• Owns observability, data quality and cost envelope: telemetry, SLAs, quality checks, alert routing.
• Drives small projects end to end and mentors engineers through code reviews.
