Job summary

ETFBOOK is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a data-driven team. You will build and maintain robust, secure data pipelines on Azure using Databricks to support core business functions and help define the data model that delivers trusted datasets to clients.

You will report to the Lead Data Engineer and collaborate with engineers, data analysts and product owners to deliver end-to-end data solutions, with opportunities to mentor others and influence the data platform's direction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Experience with Spark, Databricks, dbt, Snowflake or similar.
• 8+ years with an OO/FP language (Python, Java/Scala, or C#).
• Strong knowledge of big data storage tech (Delta Lake, Iceberg, HDFS).
• Understanding of data governance, security and performance.
• Experience leading complex data projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leads complex data engineering projects and pipeline development.
• Designs scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture.
• Defines engineering standards and best practices for data pipelines.
• Works closely with Data Analytics, Data Science, Product, and other teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Drives improvements in performance, reliability, security, and cost of the data platform.
