Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group in Poland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and optimize data-driven solutions powering LSEG’s strategic platforms. You will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to high-impact initiatives across the data ecosystem.

This role requires expertise in Delta Lake, Change Data Feed, AKS and event-driven patterns, with a focus on reliability, CI/CD and observability.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Data Lake architectures, including Delta Lake and optimisation strategies.
• Strong knowledge of Change Data Feed, mirroring, and real-time data ingestion/processing patterns.
• Hands-on capability with AKS and container-based microservices.
• Practical experience with event-driven systems (e.g., Event Hubs, Kafka, or similar).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, its data engineering components and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and enhance scalable data solutions using Data Lake technologies (ideally Delta).
• Build and maintain Change Data Feed pipelines to ensure real-time data accuracy and reliability.
• Develop and support mirroring capabilities for data replication and consistency across environments.
• Engineer modern cloud-native services using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Work with event-driven architectures, including ingestion, orchestration and processing layers.
• Contribute to solutions built on Microsoft Fabric, integrating data, analytics and governance capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Architecture and Product to enable seamless solution delivery.
• Champion clean code, best practices, automation, CI/CD, observability, and reliability.
• Participate in technical discussions, peer reviews, and decision-making processes to shape engineering standards.
