Job summary

Software Mind is seeking a senior data engineer to design and implement end-to-end data architectures on Microsoft Fabric, including Bronze/Silver/Gold tables and feature pipelines. You will build and optimize pipelines, semantic models, and Direct Lake patterns, collaborating with DevOps on IaC and capacity decisions.

Strong PySpark/SQL skills and a payments/financial services background are desirable. You will engage in cross-project delivery across international client engagements, ensuring

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience including hands-on Spark development.
• Proficiency with Parquet features and data optimization techniques.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Direct Lake and lakehouse patterns.
• Strong SQL tuning skills for Fabric and PostgreSQL workloads.
• Ability to communicate architecture clearly and work autonomously on well-scoped features.

Responsibilities

• Design Bronze, Silver, and Gold data schemas with PAN-safe layout and retention settings.
• Build Fabric Spark notebooks for feature pipelines across multiple windows.
• Develop and maintain Silver adapters and canonical MERGE DAGs.
• Create Gold materialization pipelines for risk data feeds and scoring.
• Design Direct Lake semantic models and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Fabric IaC and capacity provisioning.
