Job summary

Straumann Group is seeking a Senior Data Platform / Data Engineer to join the ML Platform team in Poland. You will help build and scale data infrastructure powering AI products in dentistry, spanning data ingestion, annotation workflows, dataset versioning (DVC), and model training pipelines.

You’ll collaborate with ML researchers and MLOps engineers to ensure reliable, scalable data infrastructure, improve DLH and dataset management, and support research workflows across AWS-based environments.

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering skills.
• Experience building data pipelines or data platforms.
• Experience working with AWS and large ML datasets.
• Strong software engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, documentation).
• Experience collaborating with ML teams or working in AI environments.

Responsibilities

• Data platform ownership: design and evolve the Data Lakehouse architecture across ML teams.
• Improve data ingestion, extraction, and transformation pipelines for reliability.
• Ensure datasets for training/evaluation are consistent, reproducible, and well documented.
