Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Kraków seeks a data modelling specialist to join the Data & Analytics Office. You will translate business needs into trusted data products, apply HSBC standards, and collaborate with business and technology teams to support regulatory confidence and sustained value.

You will develop conceptual, logical and physical models, maintain data definitions and lineage, and drive data governance and quality across domains with agile practices and scalable data assets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering data modelling across conceptual, logical and physical models.
• Experience translating business requirements into data definitions, metadata and modelling specifications.
• Experience delivering reusable data assets and governance outcomes.
• Experience defining data elements, data lineage, ownership and stewardship.
• Experience applying data standards, policies and controls across domains.
• Experience supporting data governance processes, including issue management and escalation.
• Experience identifying data quality risks and coordinating remediation.
• Experience with Agile engineering practices and Disciplined Agile/SAFe.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models aligned to business requirements.
• Translate business and analytical requirements into data definitions, structures, metadata and modelling specifications.
• Partner with data owners, data stewards, architects, engineers, analysts and SMEs to agree fit-for-purpose data models.
• Define and maintain critical data elements, business terms, data lineage and stewardship.
• Apply HSBC data standards, policies and modelling principles across domains and changes.
• Support the design and operation of data governance processes, including issue management and escalation.
• Identify data quality risks and coordinate remediation across source and consuming systems.
• Maintain documentation of modelling decisions, governance outcomes and supporting evidence.
