Qualifications

• 7+ years total experience as a Data Engineer with Python and SQL.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS experience.
• Proven data ingestion pipeline design, deployment and maintenance.
• Experience with OCR and AWS Textract for complex documents.
• AWS core stack: S3, Step Functions, CloudWatch.
• Professional English (written and spoken).

We are looking for Senior Data Ingestion Engineers to join a high-impact team developing scalable, automated document processing workflows. In this role, you will design and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines capable of extracting, transforming, and loading structured and unstructured document data using AWS Textract, Python, SQL, and AWS serverless orchestration tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Pipeline Architecture & Development: Build, maintain, and optimize end-to-end document data ingestion pipelines.
• OCR & Text Extraction: Implement and refine OCR data extraction solutions using AWS Textract for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured document formats.
• Orchestration & Workflow Management: Design automated pipeline workflows using AWS Step Functions and manage cloud storage and lifecycle rules via AWS S3 .
• Data Processing & Transformation: Write efficient, clean Python scripts and complex SQL queries to parse, clean, validate, and transform incoming data.
• Monitoring & Reliability: Set up automated alerts, performance monitoring, logging, and error-handling routines utilizing AWS CloudWatch .
• Collaboration: Partner with client engineering teams in an agile environment working within Central European Time (CET) business hours.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of total experience as a Data Engineer with advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience on the AWS Platform.
• Data Ingestion Expertise: Proven track record of designing, deploying, and maintaining automated document and data ingestion pipelines.
• OCR & AWS Textract: Proven experience working with OCR technology, specifically AWS Textract, for complex document processing.
• AWS Core Stack: Demonstrated hands‑on experience with:
• AWS S3 (bucket strategies, storage policies, security)
• AWS Step Functions (workflow orchestration, state machines)
• AWS CloudWatch (metrics, logging, alarm orchestration)
• Language: Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal).
