Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join its Data & AI team within the Centre of Excellence. You will build and maintain data pipelines, support data integration and transformation, and collaborate with senior engineers on technical delivery.

This role is remote and focused on delivering data assets for customers and internal teams. Requirements include 5+ years in data engineering, deep Azure Data Factory/Synapse/Microsoft Fabric expertise, strong Python/SQL skills, and

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
Deep expertise in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.
Strong command of Python and SQL for data processing and analysis.
Experience with metadata frameworks and CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
Understanding of Azure networking and security fundamentals.
Knowledge of data governance, GDPR, and data classification.
Familiarity with lakehouse architecture, data warehousing, and data modeling.
Fluent English and Polish.
Residency in Poland.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain reliable data pipelines, supporting data integration and transformation.
Collaborate with Data Architects and Senior Data Engineers on technical delivery.
Work with customer-side engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Follow engineering best practices, including CI/CD through Azure DevOps.
Utilize secure engineering approaches, including Key Vault and private endpoints.
Participate in Agile ceremonies to enhance team collaboration.
Document solutions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Contribute to the Data Engineer Guild to share knowledge and best practices.
