Harnham is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a large-scale data and finance transformation programme. You will design, build and support data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse architecture, and robust data pipelines across global teams.

The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting scalable data solutions within Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse architecture
• Building and maintaining robust data pipelines and integration processes across multiple source systems
• Implementing and evolving Medallion architecture patterns across the data platform
• Developing complex SQL and T-SQL solutions to support enterprise data requirements
• Ensuring data quality, reconciliation, validation, and governance standards are met
• Troubleshooting production issues and driving platform reliability and performance improvements
• Contributing to DevOps maturity, deployment automation, and engineering best practice
• Collaborating with finance, analytics, and technology stakeholders across international teams

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience working as a Data Engineer within enterprise environments
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse architecture
• Advanced SQL and T-SQL development skills
• Experience designing and implementing Medallion architecture
• Strong understanding of enterprise data integration and data modelling principles
• Experience with data quality frameworks, reconciliation processes, and production support
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and operational excellence within data platforms
• Ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams and stakeholders
• Experience within complex, high-volume operational environments is highly desirable
• Comfortable participating in occasional out-of-hours collaboration with global teams when required
