Job summary

summ-it is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, implement and develop modern data processing, integration and analytics solutions. The role focuses on scalable data platforms in Cloud (Azure, Fabric) and On-Premises (SQL Server, SSIS/SSAS) with no team management responsibilities.

The position offers exposure to international projects, ongoing training and opportunities to influence data strategy and architecture within the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related field.
• Experience as Data Engineer, ETL Developer, BI Developer or similar role.
• Strong SQL and Python with relational databases.
• Hands-on with Data Warehouse/Data Lake/Data Lakehouse.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SSIS and SSAS.
• Cloud and On-Premises data solutions design.
• Ability to optimize queries and data processing.
• Knowledge of data governance, quality and security.
• CI/CD and version control experience.
• Documentation and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and develop data platforms in Cloud and On-Premises environments.
• Build and optimize data integration processes and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Implement Data Warehouse, Data Lake and Lakehouse solutions.
• Write efficient, scalable code and data models.
• Integrate data from various systems, databases and APIs.
• Monitor data processing, troubleshoot and optimize performance.
• Ensure data quality, security and consistency.
• Create technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts and other teams.
• Provide knowledge sharing and mentoring to others.
