The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design, development, and optimization of data architectures and pipelines. This role involves mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business insights and informed decision‑making.

What You Can Expect

• Lead the development and maintenance of scalable data architectures and pipelines.
• Design and implement data models and schemas to support business intelligence and analytics.
• Optimize data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Mentor and guide junior data engineers, providing technical leadership and best practices.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Execute steady state operating and monitoring procedures for our data warehouse and provide periodic 24x7 on‑call support as necessary.

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Airflow).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and ABAP.

• Experience with cloud‑based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Boomi, Informatica).
• Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices.
