Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Kraków team. You will build data pipelines, design ETL processes, and support the data warehouse while collaborating with multiple stakeholders to translate business needs into robust data solutions.

You will work with SQL, data warehousing, data modeling, and BI reporting tools, including Power BI, in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Proven work experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role.
Strong SQL, data warehousing, data modeling, and Power BI reporting skills.
Experience with ETL/ELT and large datasets.
Familiarity with AWS ecosystem (Redshift, Airflow, S3) and relational databases.

Responsibilities

Build data pipelines to clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources.
Design, build, and maintain ETL processes with large and complex datasets.
Perform quality assurance on imported data and collaborate with multiple teams as needed.
Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
Support the data warehouse by identifying and refining reporting requirements.
Develop and troubleshoot reports and dashboards using single or multiple data sources.
Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs.
Experience in requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, BRD/FRD documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
