Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Project Manager to lead data-centric initiatives within its Big Data & Analytics Center of Excellence. You will oversee Data Warehouse/Data Lake, BI solutions, and analytics migrations, guiding cross-functional teams through PoC to full-scale delivery for diverse industries.

You will apply Agile and traditional methods, manage costs and schedules, and partner with AWS, GCP, Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake, and Confluent, while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in project management.
• Experience managing data-centric projects (Data Warehouse/Data Lake, BI solutions, data & analytics migrations).
• High-level understanding of modern data technologies.
• Eagerness to continuously learn in both project management and technology.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban methodologies, and familiarity with Jira and Trello.
• Strong conflict mitigation and resolution skills.
• Experience leading dedicated teams and managing fixed-price contracts.
• Proficiency in risk management.
• Experience leading project teams of 20+ engineers.
• Hands-on expertise in cost, scope & schedule, stakeholder, risk, and quality management.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage data-centric projects such as Data Warehouse/Data Lake implementations, BI solutions, and data & analytics migrations.
• Lead dedicated project teams of 20+ engineers and manage fixed-price contracts.
• Own key project management areas: cost, scope & schedule, stakeholders, risk, and quality.
• Apply Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban methodologies as appropriate, using tools like Jira and Trello.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Resolve conflicts within project teams and with stakeholders.
• Guide projects through the lifecycle — from design and PoC to MVP and full-scale implementation.
• Collaborate with technology partners (AWS, GCP, Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake, Confluent, and others).
• Travel for business trips as needed.
• Support technical and personal growth of the team, and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the SoftServe Data Community
