Job summary

What You Will Do

As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with our business teams to understand their needs and transform them into actionable, fit-for-purpose data products. You will take ownership of these products, from data collection and analysis to visualization and reporting, ensuring they support agreed requirements.

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into meaningful data solutions.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining reports, dashboards and data products using Power BI, SQL, and Azure data services.
  • Ensuring that data products are accurate, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Acting independently to prioritize tasks, propose solutions, and drive improvements.
  • Communicating insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, making data actionable.
  • Supporting data governance by ensuring quality, consistency, and security of data.
Your future team

You will report directly to the Manager, Data Quality and Products, Europe within VFS D&IT and will be assigned to a stable, global cross‑functional team. Digital and IT is the engine of the VFS business, and we continue our strategic journey to further improve performance and to deliver the best customer experience in the industry. In this exciting environment, we are focused on Digital Innovation to meet the demands of our customers in an increasingly digitalised world.

The preferred location is Wroclaw, Poland.

Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in financial services.
  • Understanding of one or more business domains such as credit, risk, collections, asset financing, or portfolio management is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Ability to translate business needs into data models, KPIs, and actionable insights.
  • Experience with data quality management, including identifying and resolving data issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of data lake engineering, ETL processes, and Databricks is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of statistical techniques and data modeling is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and English proficiency at C1 level, with experience working across business and IT stakeholders.
