Job summary

Allegro is looking for a data-focused engineer to maintain and develop company-wide reports, ensuring a single source of truth for executives. You will work with large datasets to drive transformative insights and lead cross-functional data initiatives.

The role requires 3–4 years in data engineering or similar, strong SQL and Python skills, and experience with Airflow and Google Cloud Platform. A proactive, collaborative mindset and English proficiency (B2) are essential.

Qualifications

Job description

Your main responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop company-wide periodic reports, ensuring a "single source of truth" for executive decision-making.
• Work with large datasets to provide transformative insights that drive organizational goals and lead to tangible business results, such as implementing new features and initiatives.
• Lead data initiatives and projects, driving cross-functional collaboration and thought leadership.
• Maintain and oversee ETL/ELT processes, ensuring the optimization of cost and efficiency in data processing.
• Support the DE team by managing day-to-day updates in code repositories and data pipelines.

This is the right job for you if:

• You have at least 3-4 years of experience working with large datasets as a Data Engineer, Technical Analyst, or in related roles.
• You are an expert in SQL.
• You are proficient in Python for working with large datasets.
• You have experience working with Airflow and Google Cloud Platform (including BigQuery).
• You apply engineering best practices (clean code, code review, CI/CD) and demonstrate a high degree of autonomy.
• You are effective at partnering and building relationships across finance, business, analytics, and data science teams.
• You are a proactive problem-solver.
• You have English proficiency on at least B2 level and enjoy sharing knowledge with other team members.
