Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Custom Solutions Software Engineer to join our LenelS2 team. You will design, develop, test, deploy and support software extending the OnGuard platform, including custom integrations and data workflows for diverse clients.

Responsibilities cover end-to-end lifecycle from requirements through deployment and customer support, with a focus on reliability, regulatory compliance, and secure software solutions for enterprise environments.

What are the challenges and how will you make an impact?

LenelS2’s Custom Solutions Team develops custom software that extends the OnGuard security platform. These applications are critical to the security operations of Fortune 100 firms, financial institutions, universities, and government facilities. As a member of the LenelS2 Custom Solutions team, you would be involved in the entire software development lifecycle.

In this position, you will assist in the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of customer‑driven software solutions that meet the unique requirements of our customers. Your responsibilities include completing projects such as custom Crystal Reports, data import and export, custom application integrations, and custom database programming (SQL triggers and stored procedures). You will also provide support for existing customers, performing remote and, when necessary, onsite installation of Custom Solutions‑developed software.

Overview

As a Custom Solutions Software Engineer, you will assist in the design, development and installation of software applications that extend and enhance the OnGuard product. Your projects will include custom integrations with third‑party software systems, extensions to OnGuard that enable regulatory compliance, and custom applications that help ensure the safety and security of our customers’ employees and facilities.

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of experience as a Software developer with experience in C#
• Develop software solutions on schedule that meet customer requirements
• Test software prior to installation to ensure high‑quality solutions are delivered
• Install software on customer systems, typically over a remote connection, with onsite installation available for high‑security sites without internet connectivity
• Provide sustaining engineering for existing commercially available software solutions developed by the Custom Solutions team
• Prepare documents with requirements and propose solutions based on customers’ requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or suitable experience

Technical Qualifications

• Experience developing software applications using C#
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Experience testing and supporting software installations
• Proven ability to adapt quickly to emerging technologies
• Experience with REST API definitions and implementations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL Server database development using T‑SQL and writing SQL stored procedures, triggers, and functions
• Experience with Crystal Reports
• Knowledge of ASP.NET, ADO.NET and WinForms
• Knowledge of REST API principles
• Knowledge of Javascript/Typescript and web applications
• Experience with access control devices
• Experience with binary protocols used in M2M communication
• Experience developing test plans and procedures
