Job summary

HSBC in Poland is seeking a Credit Risk Senior Analyst within the Global Private Banking & Wealth risk function. The role focuses on collateral assessment, reporting, analytics and MI for Lombard lending, working with Finance and Risk teams to implement new lending frameworks.

The candidate will analyze large datasets, generate insights on trends and drivers, and contribute to multiple concurrent tasks with attention to detail and effective communication.

Qualifications

• University graduate in finance, mathematics, computer science or related quantitative field.
• CFA, FRM or PRM accreditation preferred.
• 2+ years in banking (risk, product control, Front Office, Middle Office).
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, Pivot, VBA); Access/SQL/Python a plus.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Undertake credit-related periodic reports and analyze drivers of changes in credit exposure / collateral; provide insight into main risks in the lending book.
• Analyze financial products held as Lombard collateral; monitor concentration and exposures; review market movements.
• Perform volatility, simulation and stress testing analyses for credit facilities; ensure risk factors remain conservative.
• Assess various financial instruments offered as Lombard collateral; ensure methodology is followed and support enhancements.
