Job summary

Elavon Europe, a part of U.S. Bank, is seeking a Senior Analyst to support European performance reporting, planning cycles and governance. You will translate complex data into actionable insights and collaborate with Finance, Sales Support and Commercial teams across Europe.

Reporting to the Head of Business Performance, Planning & Governance, Europe, you will mentor one analyst and help shape KPIs, forecasts and strategic business cases to drive revenue growth and cross-functional delivery.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in business performance, commercial analysis, financial planning, strategy or related analytical role.
  • Experience in planning cycles, KPI frameworks, performance reporting or governance processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, Sales, Commercial and Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve European performance reporting rhythms for leaders with timely insights.
  • Coordinate elements of the annual planning cycle, linking financial plans, KPIs and roadmaps.
  • Develop and evolve leading/lagging indicators to support European strategy and decision-making.

Senior Analyst

Business Performance, Planning & Governance, Europe

Location: Any Elavon European office, with travel as required

Role overview

The Business Performance, Planning & Governance team plays a central role in supporting Elavon’s European business. The team helps connect strategic priorities, financial performance, operational delivery and governance rhythms, ensuring leaders have the insight, structure and recommendations needed to make timely decisions and deliver against both near‑term plans and long‑term growth objectives. The Senior Analyst will be a key member of the team, supporting the annual planning cycle, shaping European performance indicators and turning complex business data into clear, actionable insight. The role will work closely with Finance, Sales Support, Commercial and other functional partners to identify performance trends, risks and opportunities, and to support recommendations that improve revenue performance and cross‑functional delivery. This position requires strong commercial acumen, advanced analytical capability, excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders. The Senior Analyst will report to the Head of Business Performance, Planning & Governance, Europe and will have line management responsibility for one analyst.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and continuously improve European business performance reporting rhythms, ensuring leaders receive timely, accurate and actionable insight.
  • Coordinate key elements of the annual planning cycle, connecting financial plans, strategic objectives, KPIs and cross‑functional enablement roadmaps.
  • Develop, manage and evolve leading and lagging performance indicators that support European strategy, delivery and decision‑making.
  • Analyse business, financial and operational data to identify revenue performance drivers, emerging risks and growth opportunities.
  • Translate complex data patterns into clear messages, recommendations and leadership‑level materials that support prioritisation and action.
  • Support the development of strategic European business cases, including analysis of commercial impact, investment requirements, risks and expected benefits.
  • Establish and maintain sales channel economics, providing insight into top‑line and bottom‑line returns to inform future channel decisions.
  • Own customer lifetime value analytics, assessing how factors such as sales channel, product holding and geography influence performance.
  • Align KPIs, performance insight and investment activity to the European financial plan, providing a forward‑looking view of risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
  • Manage, coach and support one analyst, helping to ensure high‑quality delivery, strong stakeholder engagement and continuous development.

Required Experience And Skills
  • Strong experience in business performance, commercial analysis, financial planning, strategy, sales operations or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced analytical and modelling capability, with the ability to work confidently across complex data sets and identify meaningful trends.
  • Proven ability to translate data into commercially actionable insight, recommendations and executive‑level materials.
  • Experience supporting planning cycles, KPI frameworks, performance reporting or governance processes.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel and data visualisation skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, Sales, Commercial, Strategy and operational teams.
  • Experience developing business cases or investment recommendations is desirable.
  • Experience in payments, financial services, technology or another complex commercial environment is desirable.

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
