Job summary

Sabre Polska Sp. z o.o. seeks a Principal Application Architect for the Nova Team in Kraków. You will set long-term architectural direction, guide delivery, and ensure non-functional excellence across CIAS platforms at enterprise scale.

You’ll lead architectural governance, design patterns, and collaboration with senior stakeholders to drive modernization and secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, architecture, or leadership.
• Experience delivering large-scale distributed cloud systems.
• Ownership of non-functional requirements: performance, availability, security, resilience.
• Deep knowledge of microservices, domain-driven design, API-first design.
• Hands-on with cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes and public cloud (GCP preferred).
• Experience defining standards, modernization, and guiding multiple teams.
• Strong analytical, architectural modeling, and communication skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as architectural authority for CIAS platforms supported by Nova, ensuring stability and performance.
• Define long-term architectural vision and modernization roadmaps.
• Lead design of large-scale, cloud-native platforms at Sabre scale.
• Develop architectural blueprints, models, integration patterns, and state architectures.
• Guide engineering teams through complex decisions, balancing delivery and long-term health.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and solutions architects to align with strategy.
• Drive governance for security, compliance, and audit readiness.
• Influence stakeholders to align architecture with business goals.
• Conduct deep-dive reviews for critical paths and production readiness.
• Mentor senior engineers to raise architectural capability.
• Champion cloud-first practices and operational rigor.
