Job summary

Stott and May Inc. is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join a team working on a large-scale Big Data Analytics Platform in the insurance sector.

This hands‑on role focuses on building, enhancing and operating secure, automated Azure platform services and will involve architectural contributions and close collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders. You will work across Azure services with Databricks, Data Lake, Terraform, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, in an environment

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Advanced Python development skills.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines and CI/CD.
• Azure networking concepts including VNets and NSGs.
• Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC knowledge.
• Experience building and operating enterprise Azure platforms.
• Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Experience in regulated environments, ideally insurance.

I'm looking to connect with a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join an established team working on a large-scale Big Data Analytics Platform within the insurance sector.

This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on building, enhancing and operating secure, automated and maintainable Azure platform services. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to architectural decisions, develop platform solutions and collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional team.

Key technical requirements:

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake Storage
• Advanced Python development skills
• Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience
• Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines and CI/CD
• Azure networking, including VNets, hub-and-spoke, private endpoints and NSGs
• Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities and role-based access control
• Experience building and operating enterprise Azure platforms
• Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights
• Experience in regulated environments, ideally insurance
