Job summary

GlobalLogic in Kraków is seeking a CI/CD Engineer to join embedded software projects in close cooperation with our Germany-based team. You will design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions, optimizing workflows and automating builds.

You will develop Jenkins shared libraries and Groovy-based plugins, create automation scripts in Python, and integrate testing frameworks and code quality tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher engineering/science degree required with relevant commercial exp.
• Proficiency in CI/CD concepts, DevOps principles, and automation.
• Strong experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions and embedded build systems.

The DevOps & Build Infrastructure team architects and maintains high-throughput CI/CD pipelines across embedded and enterprise software environments. Our mission is to streamline developer workflows, standardize automated build environments, and ensure release reliability through continuous integration and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years of commercial experience, Master Science with 3 years of experience, or PhD with 1 year of experience
• Expertise in DevOps Technologies & Principles (CI/CD)
• Experience with (Cloud Based) CI Systems like Jenkins, Gitlab CI or even GitHub Actions.
• Experience with (embedded) software build systems
• Proficiency in container virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker or LXC).
• Skilled in platform-independent scripting languages (e.g., Python) for tool development and testing.
• Proficiency in platform-dependent Unix scripting languages (e.g., BASH for Linux).
• Advanced git usage for continuous integration and developer tooling support.
• Experience with REST APIs and other service integrations.
• Good command of English
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Great problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset

Job responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor pipeline health and performance, implementing improvements as needed.
• Monitor daily state of CI environment
• Provide weekly status reports of CI environment
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate their projects into the CI/CD system.
• Document CI/CD workflows, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in CI/CD tooling
