Job summary

Siemens EDA in Katowice, Poland, seeks a Senior C++ Software Development Engineer to develop a Windows desktop PCB design tool within an Agile, international environment.

You will contribute to new features, review code, write automated tests, and collaborate across teams while growing professionally within the Siemens EDA platform.

Qualifications

• Experience developing mathematical/geometrical algorithms for routing, placement, etc. operations.
• Strong C++11/C++14/C++17 skills.
• STL, SVN/Git, Microsoft Visual Studio, Agile/Scrum.
• Ability to work with a team in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop new competitive functionalities and support the existing software solutions.
• Determine operational feasibility by analyzing problem definitions, requirements, proposed solutions, and development options.
• Analyze requirements and contribute to all levels of the architecture.
• Participate in software design, code reviews, and technical documentation creation.
• Ensure appropriate quality software by creating automated tests on a regular basis and then maintaining them.
• Collaborate within and outside Agile team in an international environment.
• Grow professionally together with your teammates.

As a Senior C++ Software Development Engineer, you will participate in developing breakthrough Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software, which is used by our customers to create a variety of amazing products, from smartphones to satellite systems. The primary job responsibility will be to develop Windows desktop application dedicated to designing Printed Circuit Boards.

Type of employment:

Unlimited employment contract

The salary range for this position is 207,200 PLN to 340,000 PLN and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training. Siemens offers health and wellness benefits to employees.
