Job summary

GlobalLogic in Kraków is seeking a skilled C++ Software Engineer who can design, optimize, and expand our High-Performance Ecosphere for an automotive control platform. You will perform hands-on embedded development while occasionally acting as a Proxy Product Owner to bridge strategy and execution.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of C++ experience, strong testing skills, basic knowledge of QNX OS, and excellent English and Polish language skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial C++ software development experience (C++14 or above).
• Solid hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and improving test coverage.
• Basic knowledge of QNX OS and proficiency with CLI/tools.
• Strong communication, team player and proactive attitude with accountability.
• Upper-intermediate English and Polish (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development of embedded automotive software for major European OEMs.

We are developing next-generation automotive solutions for leading European OEMs, creating high-performance platforms for the newest European cars. Built on a foundation of technical excellence, our team thrives on tackling complex technical challenges.

In this role, you will help design, optimize, and expand our High-Performance Ecosphere for an innovative control platform. We are looking for a strong C++ Software Engineer who wants to consciously expand their career toward product leadership as a Proxy Product Owner.

While hands-on coding remains your core responsibility, you will also bridge the gap between strategic vision and tactical execution - occasionally serving as a Proxy Product Owner for senior business stakeholders to maintain continuous delivery momentum.

Requirements:

• C++ Expertise: 5+ years of commercial software development experience with strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++14 or above)
• Testing: Solid hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and test coverage improvement.
• System & Environment: Basic knowledge of QNX OS and proficiency in command-line tools / CLI operations.
• Soft Skills & Ownership: Strong communication skills, team-player mindset, and a proactive “gets things done” attitude with full accountability.
• Languages: Upper-intermediate English and Polish (both spoken and written).
• Work Model: Availability to work fully on-site (5 days per week).
• No Automotive Experience Required: we welcome experienced C++ developers from other industries who are eager to learn automotive domain standards.

Job responsibilities:

• Hands-on Development: Design and develop embedded automotive software for major European OEMs.
• Product Leadership (Proxy PO): Collaborate with senior business stakeholders and customers to clarify requirements, align strategic vision with technical execution, and ensure uninterrupted delivery flow.
• Quality Assurance: Design test cases, write unit tests, and continuously improve overall test coverage.
• Full Lifecycle Involvement: Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for high-performance automotive software.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with international engineering teams and client representatives.
