Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to develop high-level C++ software for communication modules in industrial devices. You will contribute to architecture, refactor legacy code, and ensure robust testing across multiple hardware platforms.

The role requires strong embedded expertise, RTOS knowledge, and fluency in English and Polish to collaborate with diverse teams and support global product directions.

Qualifications

Job description

Join the team developing the next generation of software for industrial control systems and communication modules. The project focuses on creating and developing advanced embedded components in C++, used in industrial automation solutions.

The work involves the development of a high-level software layer responsible for communication, integration, and key system functions. The project emphasizes the development of high-level software components and services designed to be used across various hardware platforms. A strong focus is placed on system architecture, network communication, reliability, and software scalability.

Your tasks

• Maintaining and developing software for communication modules of industrial devices
• Refactoring and testing existing solutions
• Collaborating with the development team to define and assess proposed solutions
• Working with other teams in the organization regarding software functions and product development directions
• Navigating a large codebase and communicating in Polish and English

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in programming in C++
• Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Good knowledge of communication protocols, including Ethernet and TCP/IP
• General knowledge of networks and the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model
• Ability to debug embedded devices
• Advanced proficiency in English and Polish
• Required to be located in Poland

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with the Standard Template Library (STL)
• Experience working in Scrum methodology
