Job summary

Unknown company is seeking a Senior BIOS Engineer to support security reviews of BIOS/firmware, validate signing requests, and ensure proper workflow approvals. You will work with Secure Boot, TPM, and pre-boot environments in a hybrid Poland-based setup.

The role emphasizes independent decision-making on firmware images, collaboration across internal teams, and documentation of audit records. English proficiency at B2 level is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cybersecurity experience focusing on BIOS/Firmware security and testing.
• Familiarity with Secure Boot and TPM technologies and pre-boot environments.
• Background in embedded firmware or device driver development is a plus.
• Proven ability to review, analyze, and approve firmware/BIOS images.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to justify technical decisions.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Review BIOS/Embedded Controller signing requests before signing approval.
• Analyze images to distinguish production vs test versions for fast processing.
• Validate images against baselines in internal repositories and databases.
• Compare new images with previously approved versions using internal tools.
• Identify modifications and assess non-security-impacting changes.
• Escalate significant modifications for formal security review.
• Coordinate with teams on images requiring further validation.
• Support onboarding/offboarding and access approvals for users.
• Maintain access control docs and audit records for signing activities.
• Document approval decisions and assist firmware security investigations.
