Job summary

OpenX seeks an experienced Data Platform Engineer in Kraków to design and scale data processing systems handling billions of ad requests daily. You will own end-to-end data projects, partner with Product, and push for scalable, reliable pipelines using Spark, BigQuery, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java/Scala development; Python a plus.
• 3+ years in Big Data systems development.
• Experience building complex data pipelines with SQL-based transformations (dbt/Dataform).
• Expertise with BigQuery or similar data warehouses; performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Airflow for data orchestration.
• Cloud experience with GCP or AWS; Kubernetes & Docker.
• CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring knowledge.
• Fluency in Polish and English.

Responsibilities

• Design large-scale data processing systems.
• Drive requirements with Product and own end-to-end projects.
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of applications.
• Identify and remove unnecessary complexity.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver features.
