Job summary

Diverse Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Java / .NET) to design, implement, and optimize scalable backend services and RESTful APIs. You will work with Java or .NET, build data models, and contribute to containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.

You will participate in Agile ceremonies, review code, and ensure high quality through unit and integration tests while supporting CI/CD pipelines and production stability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong commercial experience with Java or .NET.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or modern .NET.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases; data modelling and queries.
• Experience with automated testing (unit/integration) and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with modern software delivery practices and OO principles.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java or .NET.
• Build scalable, reliable backend solutions for client-facing apps.
• Design data models and integrate with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to define API contracts.
• Develop and deploy applications in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Apply secure coding standards and best practices.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Integrate applications with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.
• Monitor, optimize performance, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in design discussions, sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile activities.
