HSBC Service Delivery (Polska) Sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking a Software Engineer (Backend Java/API) to join our Messaging Delivery Platform team on a permanent basis. Build and operate distributed backend services in a modern, Agile environment.

You will work with Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, AWS, and OpenAPI-based APIs to deliver secure, scalable messaging solutions for HSBC customers and internal systems.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building and running services on Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with Cloud, particularly AWS.
• Strong knowledge of API design standards, including OpenAPI 3.0 / Swagger, REST, JSON, and Microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD toolchains including GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, Maven, and Groovy.
• Knowledge of service security including OAuth 2.0 authentication/authorisation, plus experience with Kong API Gateway.
• Solid understanding of Agile testing discipline (e.g., TDD) and Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to delivery challenges.
