Job summary

Miratech in Kraków is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) to design and build scalable, reliable backend systems. You will work on distributed services, robust APIs, and event-driven architectures, with occasional contributions to React frontend features.

You will collaborate with global teams, participate in architecture discussions, write unit and integration tests, and ensure secure, well-documented interfaces.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong experience building backend applications and services using Golang.
• Solid understanding of concurrency in Golang and asynchronous workflows.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and messaging (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven API and event schema design with backward compatibility.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure API design.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong commitment to automated testing (unit/integration).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services in Golang, including RESTful APIs.
• Implement asynchronous, event-driven communication with reliable messaging.
• Design and develop distributed systems and microservices with scalability and resilience.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and resource usage in production.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
• Conduct code reviews and share knowledge across the engineering team.
• Design for testability; write unit and integration tests for APIs and services.
• Design and maintain secure APIs and service integrations.
• Build integrations with enterprise platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics, ServiceNow, Genesys Cloud, etc.).
• Maintain reliable integrations between internal services and external platforms.
