ARQ is building the financial system for the next century from Kraków. We are seeking a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based services that power our innovative fintech products in a hybrid setup, with 3–4 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Backend experience with Java.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Math/Physics or related field.
• English fluency (spoken and written).
• Experience building products used by millions in fast-growing startups.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems.
• Build REST APIs and microservices for core products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Follow TDD, DDD and CI/CD practices for maintainable code.
