Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Backend Engineer on the Gitaly team to build GitLab's Git data storage tier, a standalone product providing reliable, secure, and fast access to Git repositories through APIs and storage operations. You will work at the boundary between GitLab and Git to ensure performant repository access for GitLab.com, self-managed customers, and GitLab Dedicated.

Responsibilities

• Own moderately sized to complex initiatives from problem definition to rollout.
• Lead design for distributed storage, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with GitLab teams across Git, Infra, SRE and Dedicated.
• Mentor engineers and improve engineering practices.
• Respond to incidents and perform post-incident improvements.
