This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of cryptocurrency trading technology, building and maintaining high-performance, low-latency backend systems for a sophisticated trading platform. You will design and implement core services for real-time data pipelines, trade surveillance, and portfolio analytics, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including CTO, engineering, operations, and data, you will contribute to metrics dashboards, risk reporting, and performance analytics while helping shape the future of crypto trading. The position allows for a fully remote setup across Europe, giving you flexibility while solving complex, high-impact engineering challenges in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Accountabilities

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Build data pipelines and models to support real-time financial metrics, performance analytics, and risk monitoring.
• Optimize database schemas and complex queries in PostgreSQL for speed and reliability.
• Integrate APIs with third-party systems to ensure data consistency and operational reliability.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to meet strict uptime and latency requirements.
• Implement robust security practices including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and data teams to ensure systems support real-time trading and reporting needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in high-performance, metrics-driven, or financial systems.
• Strong expertise in C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and optimizing complex queries and schemas.
• Familiarity with deploying and scaling applications in AWS or equivalent cloud environments.
• Experience building APIs, real-time data pipelines, and metrics systems.
• Interest in cryptocurrency markets and trading systems.
