Job summary

Sigmasoftware2 is seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to design and implement scalable, distributed back-end solutions for a SaaS platform. The role focuses on architecture for accessibility compliance, platform scalability, and AI-assisted development practices.

Responsibilities include developing microservices, cloud-native deployments, and large-scale delivery pipelines while ensuring observability, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer including at least 1 year of extensive AI SDLC experience.
• Strong Back-end development experience in at least 2 of the following programming languages: Golang (primary), Kotlin, or other JVM-based languages.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and modern cloud-native stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, distributed Back-end solutions for a SaaS platform
• Architect and deliver complex systems focused on accessibility compliance and platform scalability
• Develop and maintain microservices and cloud-native applications
• Plan, execute, and support large-scale software delivery pipelines
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize service performance
• Research, evaluate, and integrate modern technologies into the Back-end ecosystem
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture evolution and technical strategy
• Contribute to infrastructure and SaaS architecture decisions
• Improve reliability, scalability, observability, and maintainability of distributed systems
• Utilize AI-assisted development practices and tools within the software delivery lifecycle
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices initiatives
