Job summary

OX Security is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and build scalable, secure backend systems powering our AI-driven SDLC platform. You’ll design APIs, drive reliability, and work with cross-functional teams to ship high-impact features.

You’ll mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and optimize performance in a fast-paced environment. The role is fully remote with competitive compensation and strong growth opportunities in cybersecurity for the AI era.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in Node.js and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with AI tools to streamline coding.

We’re growing fast and looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Engineering team and help build the infrastructure that powers our platform at scale.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in backend development
• AI-First Approach – Active and proficient use of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLMs) to streamline coding practices, accelerate learning curves, and optimize workflows.
• Strong experience building scalable, production-grade systems
• Proficiency in Node.js
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Bonus Points for :

• Experience in the cybersecurity, SaaS, or Cloud Security domain.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud environments (AWS/GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
