Job summary

Cavendish Professionals is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for its Warsaw engineering team. You will build and scale high-performance backend services and distributed systems, taking ownership of features from design through production.

Ideal candidates have experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, microservices, and languages like Ruby, Elixir, or TypeScript. AI tooling experience is a plus in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Kafka/event-driven architecture experience.
• Kubernetes and microservices knowledge.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Elixir or TypeScript.
• Interest in AI coding tools is a plus.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with distributed systems and scalable architectures
• Kafka / event-driven architecture
• Kubernetes and microservices
• Experience with languages such as Ruby, Elixir, TypeScript, Go or similar
• Strong product mindset and end-to-end ownership
• Experience using AI coding tools/agents is highly desirable
