Job summary

WealthArc, Inc. is seeking aSenior Backend Developer to own backend design and delivery on the Azure stack. You will design domain models, build robust REST APIs and guide architectural choices across systems.

You will collaborate with Product, QA and DevOps to deliver scalable, secure data processing workloads and AI-enabled features. Strong English and Polish are required, with a hybrid/remote setup in Poland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building backend apps with C#/.NET.
• Strong knowledge of C#/.NET and production-grade design.
• Experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL, data modelling and query tuning.
• Solid REST API design, versioning and secure integrations.
• Practical experience with DDD, SOLID and design patterns.
• Experience with Azure App Service/Functions and service orchestration.
• Git with Azure DevOps/CI/CD and testable architecture.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting in production with logs.
• Experience with Redis caching and data consistency considerations.
• Professional English and Polish proficiency.

Senior Backend Developer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who will have a real impact on the development of our backend platform using C#/.NET and Azure. This role is for someone who combines strong technical skills with the ability to design solutions, make architectural decisions and look beyond the code - considering business requirements, domain boundaries, quality and long-term technical consequences.

You will have significant ownership over the solutions you build and will contribute not only to the codebase, but also to the technical direction and engineering practices of the team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using C#/.NET on Azure.
• Design domain models using DDD, including defining business boundaries, responsibilities and contracts between components.
• Design APIs, integrations and financial data processing workflows with a focus on correctness, performance, reliability and security.
• Make architectural decisions and evaluate trade-offs between different technical approaches.
• Gradually modernize existing solutions and improve the overall quality of the architecture.
• Lead more complex topics end-to-end, from problem analysis and requirements through implementation, deployment and production operation.
• Diagnose complex production issues and make decisions on how to address them.
• Use AI throughout the software development lifecycle, while critically evaluating and validating AI-generated results.
• Work closely with AI Engineers on designing and integrating AI-powered functionality with backend services.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps and other engineers.
• Support other engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing and technical problem-solving.
• Contribute to technical standards, engineering practices and the continuous improvement of the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing backend applications with C#/.NET.
• Strong knowledge of C#/.NET, including designing components and production-grade solutions.
• Strong experience with SQL / SQL Server / Azure SQL, including data modelling, query optimization and diagnosing performance issues.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs / HTTP, including contract design, versioning, compatibility and secure integrations.
• Practical experience with DDD, SOLID and design patterns, including the ability to define appropriate domain boundaries.
• Experience with Azure App Service and Azure Functions, including the ability to select appropriate Azure services for specific requirements.
• Experience with Azure Service Bus and asynchronous communication.
• Strong knowledge of Git and Azure DevOps / CI/CD.
• Experience with unit and integration testing and a good understanding of testable architecture.
• Experience with application monitoring and production troubleshooting using logs and Application Insights.
• Experience with Azure Storage / Key Vault and understanding of secrets management.
• Experience with caching solutions such as Redis and understanding of their impact on data consistency.
• Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written) and Polish.

Nice to have

• Experience with Entra ID / OAuth 2.0 and secure API access.
• Experience with containers and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience integrating AI models or working with MCP.
• Experience designing or implementing solutions using AI assistants / AI agents.
• Experience working end-to-end, including some frontend development.
• Experience in fintech, financial services or data-intensive products.
