Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist to lead cloud-finance initiatives across AWS. You will partner with engineering, DevOps, architecture, and finance to maximize value while reducing waste.

Responsibilities include building cost governance, dashboards, and cost-savings programs, while optimizing EC2, RDS, S3, and more. Strong FinOps experience and AWS expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud cost optimization experience.
• Proficiency with AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, CUR, and Cost Anomaly Detection.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with dashboards (e.g., QuickSight, Power BI).
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Analyze AWS cloud spending and identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining performance.
• Develop and implement cost optimization strategies across compute, storage, networking, and managed services.
• Build dashboards and reports for visibility into consumption, trends, forecasting, and savings.
• Establish cloud cost governance policies, tagging standards, and chargeback/showback models.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and finance teams to drive measurable savings.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist for our customer to lead initiatives that improve cloud cost efficiency, financial governance, and resource optimization across the AWS environment. This role combines deep AWS technical expertise with FinOps best practices to help engineering teams maximize business value while minimizing unnecessary cloud spend.
