Euroclear seeks a Development Lead to act as the senior technical authority for automation across the GTS Network and Datacenter Department. The role focuses on automating on‑premises network infrastructure and the services delivered by the department to the company.

You will guide the automation team, coach junior engineers, and collaborate with the Monitoring team to deliver reusable, secure, and scalable solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role with no direct people management.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional Python development in production environments.
• Proven experience as Development Lead, Technical Lead, Lead Developer or senior developer.
• Delivery of enterprise-grade software or automation solutions.
• Experience defining application architecture, standards and reusable components.
• Coaching and developing others while remaining hands-on.
• Experience with architecture, security and engineering governance.

Responsabilités

• Define the automation architecture and direction for the full GTS Network and Datacenter Department.
• Drive the automation of primarily on-premises network infrastructure.
• Automate and evolve the services delivered by the department to the company.
• Translate business, network and infrastructure requirements into robust software solutions.
• Hands-on engineering: design, code, test, troubleshooting and support production solutions.
• Lead design discussions and make key architecture decisions.
• Own security, performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code, network service automation and Data Centre Modernization initiatives.
• Define reusable frameworks, APIs, libraries and development practices.
• Work closely with the Team Lead and Product Owner on scope, risks and priorities.
• Create reusable automation capabilities across all department squads.
• Work with network engineers who provide requirements and domain expertise.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing.
• Identify technical debt, dependencies and delivery risks early.
• Explain decisions and trade-offs to technical and business stakeholders.
