Brightstar Lottery is seeking an Application Security Engineer to drive the strategy and maturity of our application security program. You will lead initiatives across SDLC, integrating AppSec practices into engineering workflows and partnering with security, DevOps, and engineering leadership.

This high‑impact role requires technical depth, leadership capability, and a passion for scaling security across product teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Application Security or secure software development life cycle.
• Experience leading AppSec programs in CI/CD‑heavy environments.
• Knowledge of cloud‑native security and secure SDLC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application security program across SDLC, policy enforcement, and risk reporting.
• Integrate AppSec tooling into CI/CD pipelines for scalable security controls.
• Provide architectural guidance and secure design recommendations during development planning.
• Oversee deployment and tuning of SAST, SCA, secrets management, IaC scanning, and DAST tooling.
• Mentor AppSec engineers and advocate a security‑first culture.
