Google in Kraków is seeking a software engineer to work on Android and web-based experiences within Google Messages for Web. You will contribute to end-to-end features and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement the next generation of messaging experiences.

The role emphasizes hands-on development across Android and web technologies, with opportunities to shape UX decisions and product direction for billions of users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with android application development.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features for Google Messages for Web (messages.google.com/web), which is the desktop companion web app for Google Messages.
• Integrate features with backend systems and interface with the Google Messages app on Android.
• Work with UX designers and product managers to refine requirements for the feature, as well as fellow Software Engineers to determine the right architecture.
