Job summary

Software Mind is seeking an experienced Android engineer to join a global mobile team, building fully native iOS and Android experiences and replacing React Native layers. You’ll focus on Kotlin-based Android development with Jetpack Compose, location-aware features and secure data handling.

The role requires strong QA practices, collaboration with product and backend teams, and continuous improvement through CI/CD and testing. Flexible remote options and international projects are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in developing native Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience implementing location services and push notifications.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC, session management and secure credential storage.
• Experience integrating third-party libraries; unit and UI tests; Scrum practices; Jira/Confluence; English at C1.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the native Android application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with product managers, backend developers, designers, and stakeholders on requirements and estimates.
• Ensure app is user-friendly, fast, and adapts to different screen sizes and devices.
• Optimize for speed, stability, and scalability; implement authentication and secure storage.
• Implement location-based features and location-triggered push notifications.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, perform crash analyses and hotfixes.
• Set up app monitoring and analytics; contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Support app localization in multiple languages and accessibility.
• Write unit and UI tests; participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Update internal documentation and knowledge base.
