Job summary

Luxoft is building a new IVI software house focused on Android Automotive OS and embedded automotive software. You will work on a cutting‑edge Android Automotive based stack, implement and refine features, and collaborate with product owners, designers, and QA to deliver high‑quality applications.

Ideal candidates have proven Android development experience, strong Kotlin/Java skills, and a deep understanding of Android Architecture Components and embedded system concepts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Android Developer with shipped apps.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java and the Android SDK.
• Solid understanding of Android Architecture Components (Lifecycle, ViewModel) and design patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, SOLID).
• Experience with Android Frameworks and embedded device concepts including lifecycle, memory management, permissions, and IPC mechanisms.
• Hands-on with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git; comfortable in a Linux environment and familiar with embedded/ Automotive contexts.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an end-to-end team, collaborating with system engineers, product owners, designers, backend teams, and QA.
• Implement, test, and refine new features for our Android Automotive-based application stack.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and UI/UX designers to translate requirements into technical solutions that integrate with the current architecture.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.
• Maintain and improve the health of the codebase through regular refactoring and optimization.
