Job summary

Aristocrat Leisure is seeking a finance professional to ensure accurate statutory reporting for EMEA and to uphold governance standards. You will coordinate tax information with regional teams and provide technical accounting input on complex transactions.

You will work with Regional Controllers and external consultants, ensuring timely financial statements, audit readiness, and alignment with IFRS and local GAAP.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of internal controls, reconciliations, and financial governance principles.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements for EMEA entities.
  • Coordinate information required for tax returns with regional finance and tax advisors.
  • Assist with technical accounting research and analysis under IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Support accounting treatments for new or unusual transactions, including position papers.
  • Support external audits coordination and respond to auditor queries.
  • Maintain working papers, trackers, and supporting documentation; communicate progress to collaborators.

You will play an important part in upholding robust governance, providing high-quality statutory reporting, and ensuring consistency between group and local requirements.This role is appealing because of its broad technical range and regional influence in a complex multinational setting. You will handle statutory reporting and audit tasks, provide technical accounting advice on complex deals, and collaborate with Regional Controllers and external consultants. The position allows you to enhance compliance structures, promote uniform reporting methods, and support the growth of statutory and technical finance skills—perfect for someone who values technical expertise, leadership, and ongoing development.What You'll DoSupport the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements for EMEA entities, ensuring information is accurate and delivered to agreed timelines.Coordinate information required for tax returns in partnership with regional finance departments and tax advisors.Assist with technical accounting research and analysis under IFRS and local GAAP, with mentorship from senior team members.Support the assessment and documentation of accounting treatments for new or unusual transactions, including preparation of accounting position papers where required.Support external audits coordination, including tracking requests, and responding to auditor queries.Follow internal control frameworks, corporate policies, and documentation standards across all assigned activities.Monitor updates to accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, and help assess their potential impact.Promote uniformity, operational improvement, and effective use of reporting tools across statutory reporting and compliance tasks.Support statutory reporting through the quality review of key balance sheet accounts and reconciliations, working closely with the Accounting Operations team.Maintain clear working papers, trackers, and supporting documentation, and communicate issues and progress promptly to relevant collaborators.What We're Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Progress toward a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, is desirable.Relevant experience in accounting, audit, statutory reporting, or financial reporting, ideally within a multinational organization.Solid understanding of IFRS and a curiosity about developing expertise in local reporting requirements.Experience supporting external audits or preparing financial documents and audit schedules is desirable.Understanding of internal controls, reconciliations, and financial governance principles.Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prepare documentation and communicate effectively with a range of collaborators.Experience with Workiwa software is highly desirable.Compensation PhilosophyWe offer a comprehensive pay and benefits package designed to stay competitive in the market, support your wellbeing, and recognise your contribution to our success.
