Capgemini Invent in Wroclaw is seeking a Senior AI Governance Engineer to embed Responsible AI principles and regulatory requirements into ML operating models. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and governance teams to build scalable AI ecosystems and ensure traceability, logging, and model risk management.

The role focuses on governance controls, bias/robustness testing, evidence automation, and production monitoring aligned with EU AI Act.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in ML engineering or data science with production experience.
• Hands-on with MLflow and at least one cloud ML platform.
• Experience testing models/LLMs: bias, fairness, evaluation.
• Knowledge of EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001 is a plus.
• Fluent English; able to explain results to risk owners.

All underpinned by technology created with purpose.## **Your role**As an AI Governance Engineer at Capgemini Invent, you will help organizations build trusted, scalable, and compliant AI ecosystems. You will work closely with clients, data scientists, engineers, architects, and governance teams to embed Responsible AI principles and regulatory requirements directly into AI and machine learning operating models.## **Your tasks*** Implement AI governance controls in the ML lifecycle: model registry and approval workflows, versioning, lineage, access, logging and traceability of model decisions.* Build and run evaluation and testing: bias and fairness tests, performance and robustness evaluation, adversarial and red-team testing of LLM and agentic applications, guardrails and content safety.* Automate the evidence: model cards, evaluation reports, data sheets and technical documentation generated from pipelines rather than written by hand.* Set up monitoring in production: drift, performance, incident detection and alerting, aligned with post-market monitoring obligations.* Map technical controls to the EU AI Act (Articles 9 to 15), ISO/IEC 42001 and NIST AI RMF together with the AI governance consultants.* Implement AI inventory and governance tooling and integrate it with the client's data catalog and platform.* Work with data engineers and our Databricks team so that AI governance runs on the same platform as the data.* Build reusable assets: test suites, evaluation templates and control-as-code patterns.## **Your profile*** 5+ years as a machine learning engineer, MLOps engineer or data scientist with production experience; strong Python.* Hands-on experience with MLflow or a comparable model lifecycle tool, and with at least one cloud ML platform (Databricks, Azure ML, SageMaker, Vertex AI).* Experience testing and evaluating models and LLM applications: fairness and bias libraries (e.g., Fairlearn, AIF360), evaluation and monitoring tools (e.g., Evidently, Giskard, LangSmith, Azure AI Content Safety).* Understanding of the technical requirements of the EU AI Act and of ISO/IEC 42001 is a plus.* Ability to explain a test result to a non-technical risk owner; fluent English.* Experience in financial services, energy, pharma or public sector is a plus.## **What You'll love about working here*** **Practical benefits:** yearly financial bonus, private medical care with Medicover with additional packages (e.g., dental, senior care, oncology) available on preferential terms, life insurance and access to NAIS benefit platform.* **Access to over 70 training tracks** with certification opportunities (e.g., GenAI, Excel, Business Analysis, Project Management) on our NEXT platform.
