Job summary

Trinetix is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design and build production-grade AI applications using Python. You will turn business use cases into scalable technical solutions, building backends, APIs, and workflows that incorporate LLMs and enterprise systems.

You will implement evaluation frameworks, improve reliability of AI outputs, and collaborate with clients to refine requirements, shaping solutions and architecture for enterprise environments. Hybrid or remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related fields.
• Strong Python fundamentals; production-grade Python applications.
• Experience designing and deploying AI/LLM-powered products beyond notebooks.
• Experience building backend services and APIs using Python.
• Strong fundamentals: modular design, testing, version control, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on with evaluating LLM outputs and repeatable test design for AI apps.
• Experience with observability, instrumentation, logging, tracing, or monitoring.
• Ability to reason from first principles to solve unfamiliar problems.
• Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Balance hands-on delivery with technical guidance and solution design.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade AI applications and services using Python.
• Translate business requirements into technical AI solutions.
• Develop backend services, APIs, workflows, and integrations with LLMs.
• Create evaluation frameworks and tests to measure AI outputs.
• Improve reliability of LLM-powered features.
• Implement observability and monitoring for AI systems.
• Build reusable components for prompting, model interaction, evaluation, retrieval, and orchestration.
• Develop tests and CI/CD pipelines for AI apps.
• Integrate AI apps with enterprise data platforms and APIs.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in deployed applications.
• Contribute to architecture and technology decisions across AI products.
• Review engineering work and establish Python/AI best practices.
