Job summary

First Advantage Corporation in Kraków, Poland (Remote) is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead AI/ML initiatives across production systems and new product development. The role blends delivering new AI-driven solutions with ongoing support for mission-critical background screening workloads.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design end-to-end data pipelines, and implement secure, scalable models with a focus on performance and cost.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience across software engineering, AI, and ML.
• Strong Python programming and production ML experience (TensorFlow).
• Experience with Databricks and PySpark for scalable data pipelines.
• Experience building and serving models via APIs (e.g., FastAPI).
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, RAG, OCR, and NLP techniques.
• Knowledge of MLOps and automated training/deployment.

Responsibilities

• Work within a Scrum team on new products and initiatives, from design through delivery.
• Provide dedicated support for existing production AI/ML workloads, ensuring reliability, performance, and continuity.
• Build secure, well-optimized solutions using modern AI tooling.
• Develop and productionize ML models, and design end-to-end testing strategies to hold delivered solutions to a high quality bar.

You'll split your time between delivering new products and supporting the production workloads our customers depend on. You will:* Work within a Scrum team on new products and initiatives, from design through delivery.* Provide dedicated support for existing production AI/ML workloads, ensuring reliability, performance, and continuity.* Build secure, well-optimized solutions using modern AI tooling.* Develop and productionize ML models, and design end-to-end testing strategies to hold delivered solutions to a high quality bar.* Deliver API integrations and data pipelines, optimizing for latency, throughput, and cost.* Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and other departments on planning and execution.* Ensure solutions meet the highest standards for security, compliance, and data governance.**What You'll Need to be Successful*** At least 5 years of experience across software engineering, AI, and machine learning.* Strong programming skills in Python, including production ML work with frameworks such as TensorFlow.* Hands-on experience with Databricks and PySpark for building and scaling data pipelines.* Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational data.* Experience building and serving models as APIs (e.g., FastAPI), with attention to latency, throughput, and cost.* Practical experience with LLM APIs, RAG, OCR, and document recognition/NLP techniques.* A solid grasp of MLOps practices, including automated training and deployment.**Nice to Have*** TypeScript/JavaScript for API and service development.* Knowledge of Azure, including serverless architectures and API gateways.* Familiarity with MLOps and orchestration tooling (e.g., Azure ML, MLflow, Airflow, Prefect).* Experience with containerization and IaC (Docker, Bicep/Terraform).**We have great people here and are looking for more.
