Baxter is seeking a Senior Accountant, Controlling, to own US GAAP and local statutory accounting for assigned entities within a multinational structure. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance while partnering with tax and external advisors.

You will deliver trusted reporting, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support auditors to resolve complex accounting and tax matters, with a focus on operational excellence and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, tax or external audit.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP, and corporate tax regulations.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.

Responsibilities

Summary

Take ownership of accurate financial processes and controls, working with finance colleagues and business partners to improve trusted reporting and effective operations. As Senior Accountant, Controlling, Switzerland, you’ll combine hands‑on delivery with the judgement to prioritize issues, solve problems and keep important work moving.

What you’ll be doing

• Own and drive US GAAP, local statutory, and tax accounting and reporting for assigned legal entities, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, completeness, compliance, and timeliness, while leading the preparation and review of local GAAP statutory and consolidated financial statements and coordinating effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders to obtain and validate financial information.
• Manage the calculation and review of tax provisions and accruals in accordance with local tax legislation and corporate policies, partnering closely with the internal Tax function to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
• Prepare and file corporate income tax returns and related tax compliance obligations, collaborating with external advisors and authorities, as necessary.
• Perform and review account reconciliations, ensuring all balances are fully supported, risks are identified proactively, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, and business stakeholders regarding accounting, reporting, and tax matters.
• Drive the resolution of complex accounting, statutory, and tax matters by applying strong technical expertise and professional judgment.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, tax, or external audit within a multinational environment.
• Strong experience managing statutory reporting, tax compliance, and financial statements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP, and corporate tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, fast‑paced, and matrixed multinational organization.
• Experience partnering with auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors.
• Fluency in English both written and spoken.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools.

The minimum salary for this position is 176 000,00 PLN annually.

Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change.
