Job summary

Commonpoint Queens is seeking a Full-Time Counselor Advocate to support students’ academic, social-emotional, and overall well-being within the school community. You will coordinate student and family services, supervise part-time counselors, and collaborate with teachers and community partners to ensure effective support delivery.

The role emphasizes a strengths-based, family-centered approach, with responsibilities spanning attendance, workshops, and referrals to appropriate resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in education, social work, or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in youth development or afterschool programming.
• Experience managing staff, compliance, partnerships, and program operations.

Responsibilities

• Attend to attendance, documentation, and program records.
• Coordinate communication with Program Director and Assistant Program Director.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe program spaces.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent daily programming and operations.
• Embed SEL into daily activities and support student success.
• Support outreach to families and coordination with partners.
