Job summary

Synerise is hiring a Junior Scala Engineer to join our Backend Team in Kraków. You will work with Scala, Kafka, Elasticsearch, ScyllaDB, Kubernetes and cloud services to help process and analyze customer events at scale.

You will learn from experienced engineers, ship production-grade data processing components, and contribute to a fast‑moving, AI‑driven platform while adopting modern tooling and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of JVM languages and a willingness to learn Scala quickly.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and data processing.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Ingests and processes high-volume customer events.
• Develop architecture and design patterns for data processing.
• Translate requirements into detailed design.
• Analyse large data stores to derive insights.
